Founded in summer 2017, Dharmasoul is a collaboration between Kevin Clifford and Jonah Tolchin whose love of 60’s and 70’s blues, funk, and rock united them to record and tour nationally, racking up over 1.5 million streams on Spotify.
Kevin’s music embodies the rich tapestry of jazz, R&B, funk, gospel, and hip-hop, blending classic grooves with modern production. In tracks like “The Wonders” and “Good Times Now”, Kevin’s talents shine as he seamlessly integrates guitar, drums, and piano, creating a unique soundscape that balances soulful nostalgia with contemporary edge. Accompanied by the deep, resonant bass of Steve Panacek and the dynamic horn work of Nick Ellman and JOHN CULBRETH (BOTH of Naughty Professor), Kevin’s compositions pull inspiration from the genre-bending styles of Kiefer, the emotive warmth of Roy Hargrove, and the atmospheric, global influences of Khruangbin. His work is a fresh yet grounded exploration of rhythm, melody, and soul.
